Our Staff and facility can meet the various needs you are faced with transitioning a loved one including Alzheimer’s care, Rehabilitation, and Long-Term Placement. Gracious Senior Living will be there with the support and commitment to you and your loved one’s needs.
Bathing
Our facilities are equipped with handicapped accessible roll-in showers and whirlpool soaking tubs. In addition, each room has a private vanity area built in that allows for storage of a residents personal grooming supplies.
Our aides provide complete care with all aspects of personal body care – from oral care and daily grooming to bed baths. Residents’ preferences are used to determine a bathing schedule and the level of assistance required. In addition, hair styling, shaving, and nail care can be scheduled upon request.
Dressing
Our Staff encourages residents to select their own clothing to support the sense of ownership and individuality. We provide assistance as needed with dressing the upper and lower body. We can also accommodate residents in need of additional assistance for medical stockings, artificial limbs, and other orthotic appliances.
Toileting
Our Staff understands the nuances of assisting our residents with personal needs. Our staff realizes the importance of our residents’ self -image and evaluates and develops a personal plan for each resident to offer dignity and confidence in assisted care.
We provide bowel and bladder training, bedside commodes, catheter and colostomy care, and offer set-up, supervision, and physical assistance as needed. In addition, we provide special features available to help promote residence toileting success, such as; private bathrooms with raised toilet seats, bedside commodes, and grab bars for safety.
Mobility
Our goal is to encourage mobility for our residents as long as it is comfortable and safe for each resident. Upon admission, our staff accesses each resident for mobility assistance needs and a care plan is developed, implemented and monitored. Our staff is thoroughly trained to ensure each of our residents’ safety in assistance with mobility and transfers. Our facility is equipped to handle specialty transfers and mobility needs as well – walkers, wheelchairs, braces, mechanical lifts, slide boards and two person transfers. Our Staff offers programs that encourage mobility with assistance including; walk to dine, daily stationary exercises and a restorative therapy program for all residents to enjoy the benefits of a non invasive form of exercise.

Activities
Gracious Senior Living offers activities daily to stimulate the resident physically, mentally, and emotionally. Outings are scheduled monthly for shopping, dining, and social events. Our residents have attended sporting events, the Wichita River Festival, Botanical Gardens, the Movies, and the Sedgwick County Zoo to name a few.
In addition, our Staff has hosted on site activities such as; a mobile petting zoo, local school children performances, and specialty music performances for our residents to enjoy. Our residents can meet for group activities in the clubhouse or have private one on one sessions in their home on baking, gardening or other activities that might not be available in a more institutional setting.
We support a holistic approach to quality of life and provide weekly nondenominational church services in the facility’s clubhouse.
Continuous Care
Our care homes are staffed 24 hours a day by a certified staff. A licensed nurse is available on site daily to assess and monitor each resident’s condition. and staffing ratios exceed state standards. Our Staff works closely with each resident’s family and physician to provide comprehensive care and feature continuous communication with family members.
Medication and Medical Treatments
Other Available Medical Services
Our facility offers additional specialty services onsite for the care of monitoring our residents. Health assessments and medication reviews are completed monthly our residents:
• Physician House Calls – Our house physician is available to the residents on a monthly basis to perform assessments and ensure that the proper care plan is being implemented and monitored. Residents are free to accept our house physician who will work closely with a family doctor of their choice, or they can choose to continue services with their doctor.
• Lab – Ordered lab work is drawn onsite on a schedule ordered by the physician, as applicable.
• Radiology – X-rays and sonograms are completed onsite.
• Therapy – We have contracted with several area companies to provide Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy on site as ordered by a physician.
- Hospice – We will work with the Hospice of your choice to provide care for your loved one during a terminal illness.
